Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Harper Woods, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will work closely with the finance team to support daily operations and contribute to the organization's financial success.

Responsibilities :

Prepare and post accurate journal entries to maintain the integrity of financial records.

Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure proper reporting.

Utilize accounting software such as Sage Timberline and QuickBooks for financial tasks.

Assist in tax preparation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Support audit activities by providing necessary documentation and analysis.

Analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies.

Collaborate with the team to streamline accounting processes.

Generate reports for management to facilitate decision-making.

Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

At least 1 year of experience in accounting or finance, demonstrating attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Familiarity with financial accounting systems, including Sage Timberline and QuickBooks.

Strong knowledge of general ledger processes and journal entries.

Experience in tax preparation and audit procedures.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
