Hobson Prior is recruiting for a Creative Director to lead the creative vision and execution for the agency's life sciences clients, managing a small, high-performing team to deliver innovative, compliant creative concepts and tools. This role combines hands-on design and concept development with leadership, mentorship, and strategic oversight.

This position also will define and maintain the agency's creative standards, collaborate with cross-functional partners and clients, and play a key role in shaping the agency's overall creative strategy, visual identity, and voice. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys wearing many hats, and values both creative excellence and business impact.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, inspire, and mentor the creative team across digital, print, and other deliverables for life sciences clients

Work alongside agency leadership to define and execute long-term creative vision and identity

Ensure high-quality output that meets client objectives and compliance requirements

Participate in brainstorming sessions, provide feedback, and refine creative concepts

Serve as creative lead for client accounts, aligning work with brand, business, and regulatory requirements

Champion creative excellence across the agency while balancing originality and compliance

Collaborate with operations, project, and account teams on resourcing, timelines, and budgets

Support business development through pitch materials and client presentations

Contribute to team growth by hiring, mentoring, and shaping service offerings

Desired Experience and Skills

Experience in market access, specialty pharma, oncology, or rare disease strongly preferred

History working with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, PowerPoint, and other design tools

Demonstrated ability to mentor creative talent and foster professional growth

Strong client relationship management and cross-functional collaboration skills

Experience contributing to new business development and agency growth

Be able to balance high-level strategic thinking with hands-on creative execution

Familiarity with pharmaceutical marketing compliance

Solid understanding of brand strategy and its role in creative work

Preferred Qualifications

Previous working years in creative roles, including years in senior or leadership positions

Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, brand development, and multi-channel execution

Experience building or leading teams in a startup or small agency environment

Experience managing freelancers or vendors
