The Senior Claims Examiner - Auto Bodily Injury is responsible for the investigation, evaluation and resolution of commercial automobile claims involving bodily injuries. Within the Arch Auto Claims Center, we are expanding the in house handling operation to provide a heavy focus on enhancing the customer experience while eliminating traditional claim inefficiencies. By enhancing data analytics, critical trend analysis, and efficient technology interactions, claims adjusting evolves from day to day and provides our partners with a better understanding of risk and exposure. The ideal candidate is both customer and technically focused to ensure we are achieving industry best outcomes all while delivery top level service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve commercial auto and trucking claims nationwide.
• Maintain a diary of all claims, post reserves in a timely fashion, and expeditiously respond to inquiries from the insured, counsel, underwriters, brokers, and senior management regarding claims while adhering to Arch's handling guidelines.
• Prepare and present written / oral reports to senior management setting forth all issues influencing evaluation and recommending reserves.
• Lead and negotiate high severity claims through resolution.
• Evaluate and assess exposure, trends and impacts both at an individual claim level and across the auto business.
• Identify and assess coverage issues, draft coverage position letters, and retain coverage counsel, when necessary, as well as review coverage counsel's opinion letters and analysis.
• Maintain an inventory of both injury and physical damage claims.
• Drive results on claims with a high complexity of coverage analysis, investigation, damage assessment, and other relevant technical areas.
• Execute on claims strategies to achieve claims quality, customer service and operational objectives
• Serve as a mentor to less-experienced claims professionals.
• Provide training on current and new processes when needed.
• Support the strategy and operations of the Auto Center through other assignments as required.
• Assists in industry analysis and benchmarking studies.
• Travel to and from locations within the United States to attend mediations, trials, and other proceedings relevant to the resolution of the matter.

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

For Georgia, Texas, Florida : $83,600 - $125,918 / year

For Chicago, Hartford, PA : $97,100 - $131,130 / year

For NYC, Jersey City, California : $107,900 - $145,700 / year
