DB2 DBA -LUW- 5 days a week @ Waukegan, IL

Job Responsibilities

• Administer DB2 LUW databases on Linux platform.
• Install, upgrade and patch DB2 databases.
• Strong with backup and recovery.
• Conduct performance tuning of high scale databases
• Strong experience in setting up DR databases and perform DR tests
• Experience with automation using shell scripting or Ansible
• Experience working with development teams for object deployment and setting up data replication using federation and other data replication tools like Attunity, DTShare etc.
• Provides status report updates to managers. Required Skills
• 12 + Years of experience in DB2 DBA with Replication
• Expertise in Database Installation and Configuration : Installing and configuring Db2 LUW ( (Linux / Unix / Windows platform) database software on servers.
• Strong in HADR, performance tuning, backup and recovery, security management and troubleshooting
• Experience in database design, patch and version management.
• Knowledge in capacity Planning, documentation, collaboration, automation monitoring, compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Experience in Disaster Recovery Planning to minimize data loss in the event of a system failure. Required Education Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
