Position Summary
The HR Leader will be responsible for supporting our hourly and salaried team members (approximately 250 employees), and all people leaders in the Parker Canada Division. This is a varied role, covering all key HR areas including : talent acquisition, policy and procedure development, employee relations, organizational capability, performance management, talent management, training and development, and coaching our people leaders.
Responsibilities
- Employee Engagement - supports projects and initiatives to address employee survey feedback, responsible for delivering against our action plans and driving culture change.
- Talent Acquisition - Works with management to identify strategies for hiring, sourcing candidates using a variety of attraction methods and screens candidates for consideration. Coaches others on recruitment practices and onboards successful candidates, including ownership of the Early Careers programs.
- Policy & Procedure - Increases the understanding and consistent application of company policies through training and communication programs. Identifies the need for new or revised policies, coordinates policy revisions and approvals.
- Employee Relations - Develops programs to improve employee relations / morale and promote a participative, inclusive workplace. Provides one-on-one coaching and plays a key role in unresolved / difficult situations; implements and reinforces progressive discipline.
- Talent Management - Consults with managers to develop staffing plans, succession plans, and creation of individual team member development and career plans.
- Compensation - guides managers in evaluating compensation and classification decisions; provides interpretation and advice on legal requirements and may participate in external compensation audits.
- Benefits - Communicates, administers, and promotes employee benefit and wellness programs. Leads or participates in wellness, or safety committees.
- Coaching & Mentoring - supports the HR Generalists with day-to-day case management, prioritisation and acts a coach to guide the team through complex people challenges.
- Reporting & Data - running reports, identifying trends and using data insights for decision making.

Education Requirements
Bachelors Degree (Ideally in Business or Human Resource disciplines)CHRP designation preferredExperience and Skills
