Into Action Recovery & Wellness Center is opening a new outpatient facility in Roanoke with a focus on providing compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals seeking recovery from Substance Use Disorders.

Position Summary :

The Clinical Director at Into Action Wellness and Recovery Center VA is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all clinical services, ensuring that behavioral health programming adheres to the standards established by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (VDBHDS) and the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS). This full-time, leadership role includes supervision of licensed and unlicensed clinical staff, coordination with the Medical Director, and implementation of evidence-based practices that promote recovery and wellness for individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders. The Clinical Director provides clinical oversight for all treatment services, including ASAM Level 1.0 (Outpatient Services), ASAM Level 2.1 (Intensive Outpatient Program - IOP), and ASAM Level 2.5 (Partial Hospitalization Program - PHP).

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Provides direct clinical services as part of the IOP program, including facilitating process groups, educational sessions, intakes and discharges, and individual counseling when needed.
• Supervise all clinical staff including counselors, peer recovery specialists, and support personnel.
• Ensure compliance with VDBHDS licensing regulations and DMAS documentation and service delivery standards.
• Develop, implement, and oversee individualized treatment planning processes.
• Facilitate clinical case reviews and treatment team meetings.
• Collaborate with the Medical Director to integrate medical and behavioral health care.
• Ensure timely completion of assessments, progress notes, discharge planning, and utilization review documentation.
• Review and update clinical protocols and policy to ensure alignment with ASAM Criteria and best practices.
• Provide crisis intervention and clinical oversight for high-risk situations.
• Assist with hiring, training, supervision, and performance evaluation of clinical staff.
• Participate in internal quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Maintain client confidentiality and ensure adherence to HIPAA standards.
