Licensed Pathology Technician - Surgical Pathology - Mid-Shift

As a Pathology Technician you will gain experience grossing biopsy specimens. You will also verify patient information submitted on protocol vs. specimen container, evaluate and decide according to the submitted clinicians diagnosis the proper orientation of the specimen including inking of margins and choosing the appropriate dissection procedure for each specimen and dictating specimens' gross description using glossaries and the MModal voice recognition system. Other responsibilities include inputting all other specimen data into the Laboratory Information System (CoPath).

This full-time mid-shift position. Hours will be 1p-9pm. No weekends, no holidays. Location is our NYP / Weill Cornell campus on Manhattan's Upper East Side.

Preferred Criteria

• New York State Licensure as Pathologist's Assistant or Histotechnologist or Laboratory Technologist
• ASCP certification

Salary Range :

37.15-$53.35 / Hourly
