Quality Improvement Research Analyst - Surgery

Job Description

The Quality Improvement Research Analyst is responsible for preparing data abstractions and analyses of clinical data; assisting in the design and testing of data collection instruments and assisting in project management and research activities. As a member of the project team, the QI / RA assists in project management and research activities. The Quality Improvement Research Analyst handles the identification, abstraction and analysis of clinical data pertinent to clinical quality improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Data Abstraction : Clinical data abstraction from Medical Records and other sources

Maintains study log and case reports

Assists Project Manager and Principal Investigator in design of data collection tools (chart review tools, patient questionnaires, etc.)

Assists in development of training materials.

Conducts literature searches for articles on various topics and presents findings to Principal Investigator of Project.
