About the Role :
An established Florida-based MEP consulting firm is seeking a Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager with hands-on HVAC design experience and the leadership skills to drive commercial and healthcare projects from kickoff through construction.
This role blends technical design work with client-facing project management. You'll be a key player in a collaborative team, owning your work and relationships from start to finish - and helping shape sustainable, high-performance building systems along the way.
What You'll Do :
- Design HVAC Systems : Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and layout design for commercial, healthcare, and institutional facilities.
- Manage Projects : Lead design efforts and coordinate project milestones, schedules, and documentation across disciplines.
- Oversee Documentation : Produce construction drawings in Revit and AutoCAD , ensuring accuracy, clarity, and code compliance.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally : Work directly with clients, architects, consultants, and internal teams to deliver on time and on budget.
- Support Client Development : Build and maintain strong relationships that foster repeat business and referrals.
What You Bring :
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)5+ years of HVAC design experience in commercial and / or healthcare sectorsExperience managing projects or serving as a key project coordinatorProficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is a mustKnowledge of DX, chilled water, pumps, cooling towers, and related systemsFamiliarity with applicable design codes and standardsEIT preferred (PE track a plus)Why Join :
