Automation / Software Engineer

Job Description

Catalyx is seeking an experienced Automation / Software Engineer to support the on-site development, configuration, and validation of a Cytiva Bioreactor Batch Data application built on Ignition SCADA software. This role involves close collaboration with process engineers, IT / OT stakeholders, and quality teams to drive the project lifecycle from user requirements through implementation, protocol execution, and final acceptance.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop User Requirement Specifications (URS) and Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS).
• Configure and optimize a custom Ignition application to acquire and visualize batch data from Cytiva bioreactor systems.
• Develop and execute validation protocols (IQ / OQ / PQ) in alignment with GAMP5 and 21 CFR Part 11.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during testing and deployment phases.
• Support integration with other digital systems (e.g., MES, LIMS, historians).
• Maintain accurate project documentation and validation records.
• Serve as the on-site technical lead, driving project execution and stakeholder communication.
