JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Business department seeks a supportive and energetic Accounting Instructor to join our team! We are committed to teach diverse students and are committed to student success, equity, inclusion. Our instructors use professional workplace experiences into classroom to enrich the students' learning journey.
Instructors teach a full range of Accounting coursework with excellence and serve as an ambassador for the College at community outreach events. This position participates collaboratively in curriculum review and development, outcomes assessment, advisory council activities, projects, and other department or College activities.
Master's degree in Accounting or related discipline with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline.
Bachelor's degree in Business or a related discipline
current Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate
2 years of full-time related occupational experience.
Preferred :
Higher Education / Community College teaching experience preferred.
Professional work experience in the field of study.
232-day, 12-month contract.
May include day, evening and / or weekend classes and may involve travel to other campuses.
May include teaching in our concurrent enrollment program.
A teaching demonstration is required as part of the interview process.
Position is contingent upon MCC Board of Governors approval.
Hiring process includes passing a background check.
