Position Overview
The Tax Director is responsible for overseeing the organization's tax strategy and compliance efforts. This role involves developing and implementing tax planning initiatives, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and international tax laws, and leading a team of tax professionals in delivering accurate and timely tax reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive tax strategies to optimize the organization's tax position.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international tax laws and regulations.
- Oversee tax planning and forecasting activities to minimize tax liabilities.
- Lead and manage the tax team, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Conduct tax research and analysis to stay updated on legislative changes and their potential impact on the organization.
- Coordinate tax audits and ensure timely responses to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Manage transfer pricing strategies and compliance to meet global requirements.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams for accurate tax reporting in financial statements.
- Evaluate and manage tax risks, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
- Prepare and review tax returns and related documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree or CPA preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax planning and compliance, with a focus on corporate tax.Strong knowledge of federal, state, and international tax laws and regulations.Experience in transfer pricing and tax audit processes.Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop staff.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex tax issues clearly to stakeholders.Experience in risk management and strategic planning within a corporate environment.For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
