Description of Duties :

The Mid-Level System Administrator supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will :

• Administer the operations of computer systems related to operating systems, servers, and end-user workstations.
• Administer WSUS and SCCM servers for updating and patching of the domain.
• Perform hardening and remediation of operating systems and STIG compliance to reduce cybersecurity risks.
• Deployment and configuration of vCenter, Power Shell, and Ansible.
• Administer Container Platforms such as OpenShift, as well as maintain repositories / Registries.
• Experience managing a Linux workstation-based environment.
• Maintain and manage Secure Host Baselines for both Windows and LINUX.
• Conduct daily system monitoring, system backup and restoration, and application upgrades to ensure optimal and continuous system operations.
• Develop and maintain system administration procedures and baseline configuration documentation.
• Be responsible for ensuring system software installs, maintenance, break / fix activities, and cyber security mitigations are
• performed in accordance with established policies, procedures and service level agreements.
• Focus on creating, upgrading, managing and sustaining physical and virtual workstations and servers.

Basic Requirements :

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience : HS Diploma (or GED) and 8 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 6 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 2 years of general experience

Desired Requirements :

This position is expected to pay $86,500 - $111,500 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
