Careers at Chelsea Piers offer unmatched facilities, excellent benefits, and proven career growth opportunities for people who are passionate about transforming the lives of our community through sports, fitness, and event experiences.Role & Responsibilities : As an integral member of the Chelsea Piers Fitness team, the Membership Consultant will build the clubs high-quality membership base through a strong sales effort.The Membership Consultant will be responsible for : Adoption of relationship-based sales philosophy focused on information discoveryProspecting, lead generation, and building of referral businessSale of new membershipsMastery of all member opportunities within the club; connecting new members to areas of interest to set them up for success and long-term membershipWorking cohesively with a team of Sales Account Managers and a Membership Director to be successful individually and as a teamEstablishing a strong sales pipeline, meeting sales objectives, and collaborating with a team to achieve the overall goals of the businessManaging select events geared towards engaging the membership base and / or generating interest in and excitement around the clubServing as a visible and active goodwill ambassador with members and at select special eventsDelivering superior customer service with an aim towards member retentionQualificationsQualifications : Self-motivated / entrepreneurial spirit with an outgoing, diligent, and affable dispositionSuperior customer service skills; excellent and clear communication skills, both verbal and written; strong organizational skills and attention to detailPassion for fitness with a team-first mentalityStrong time management skillsAbility to work on nights, weekends, and holidays as needed1+ years of Membership Sales experience, preferably in a high-end fitness environmentExpected annual compensation : $75,000-$100,000
