Clinical Nurse Educator - Emergency Dept (ED)

Qualifications : Required Education : Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN). Preferred Education : Bachelor Degree or higher. Minimum Experience Requirements : If Bachelor's degree has been attained, 2 years' clinical experience is required. If Associate's degree is the highest level of degree attained, 10 years hospital nursing experience is required If active enrollment in a RN to BSN program, 5 years' hospital nursing experience is required. Preferred Experience : 2 or more years of inpatient nursing, ideally on a critical care or medical surgical floor. Prior experience as a preceptor, mentor, and / or patient or staff educator role. Licensure : Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and / or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements. Certifications : Must have American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within probationary period. Must have ACLS and BLS or obtain within 90 days of hire. Other Required Skills : Demonstrates clinical knowledge related to evidence-based practice with the credibility to positively influence the delivery of patient care. Proven ability to organize and multitask to meet project deadlines. Computer skills in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of audiovisual equipment is an advantage. Knowledge of equipment / technology used in delivery of patient care. Additional life support certifications as required by specialty (ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, TNCC and / or ENPC). Why Mercy?
