JOB SUMMARY :

The Head of Design at ASTOUND Group is a visionary leader and design veteran responsible for driving the creative and technical excellence of our spatial design experiences. This role spans from the initial creative ideation and strategic collaboration through to the detailed product development and execution in our state-of-the-art production facility. The ideal candidate is not only a pioneer in design innovation but also a technically proficient leader who is deeply collaborative and customer-focused, ensuring every project delivers measurable business results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES :

Creative Leadership & Vision :

Set and communicate the overall design vision and strategy that aligns with ASTOUND Group's mission to deliver transformative brand experiences.

Collaborate closely with Strategy, Creative, and Digital teams to conceptualize next-level spatial design experiences that engage audiences and drive business outcomes.

Design & Detailing Oversight :

Lead the design process from ideation to final detailing, ensuring that every creative concept is meticulously developed with an eye for both aesthetic excellence and functional execution.

Oversee product development, ensuring that designs are not only innovative but also practical and feasible for production.

Establish design standards and best practices that guide the production process and maintain consistency across projects.

Technical Execution & Production Collaboration :

Work in tandem with the production team to translate design concepts into detailed technical specifications and execution plans.

Ensure that designs are optimized for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and scalability, meeting both creative and technical requirements.

Facilitate seamless communication between the design studio and the production facility to guarantee that every detail is executed accurately and to the highest quality.

Customer Focus & Collaboration :

Engage directly with clients to understand their brand objectives and ensure that design solutions are tailored to meet their strategic needs.

Foster a collaborative environment where cross-functional teams-ranging from account management to project leadership-are aligned and engaged in the design process.

Act as a trusted advisor to clients, articulating the value of design in driving business results and enhancing brand experiences.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement :

Stay abreast of emerging design trends, technologies, and methodologies to continuously elevate our design capabilities.

Lead initiatives to integrate digital tools and AI-driven solutions into the design process, improving efficiency and fostering creative innovation.

Mentor and inspire the design team, cultivating an environment of excellence, accountability, and relentless improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Proven track record as a design leader multiple years of experience in spatial design, product development, and detailing within the experiential or related creative industries.

Deep technical proficiency and a strong understanding of fabrication processes, architectural detailing, and production methodologies.

Exceptional creative vision with the ability to conceptualize innovative spatial experiences that drive business results.

Strong collaborative skills with experience working across multidisciplinary teams, including strategy, creative, digital, and production.

Outstanding client engagement and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling design solutions.

Proficiency in design software and project management tools, with a passion for integrating new technologies (including AI) to enhance creative and operational efficiency.
