ER RN Travel Job Details

Location : Wichita Falls, TX 76301 (Texas nursing jobs)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 1 / 12 / 2026 – End : 4 / 13 / 2026)

Shift : Mid-shift, 12-hour shifts (1 : 00 PM – 1 : 00 AM), block scheduling

Hours : Alternating 36 / 48 hour weeks (84 hours biweekly, 72 hour guarantee)

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,700 - $1,820

Patient Ratios : 1 : 4 (Days / Nights / Weekends)

Unit : Emergency Department / Clinical Decision Unit (ED / CDU)

Patient Population : Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

Charting System : Epic (Epic experience preferred)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience in a high-volume or trauma facility (3 years preferred)

Previous travel nursing experience required (no first-time travelers)

Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand before start)

BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required

Experience with Epic charting system preferred

Ability to complete required labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance

Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted); COVID-19 vaccine not required

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages in a busy Emergency Department

Perform rapid assessments, triage, and initiate appropriate interventions for a wide range of medical emergencies

Manage complex patient conditions, including trauma, cardiac, neurological, and behavioral health emergencies

Administer emergency medications, IV therapies, blood products, and advanced airway management

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services

Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic

Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training as required
