Additionally, we have proudly Open Sourced Valdi .The ideal candidate will have deep mobile experience, including knowledge of how they integrate with cross platform technologies. This is a hands-on role - your experience in C++, TypeScript, as well as native platform pieces will be critical in solving tricky performance issues and creating stable architecture. Additionally, since this is such a core piece of Snap’s infrastructure you’ll need to work closely with customers to determine our long term roadmap as well as ensure the team is solving customer issues.What you’ll do :

• Manage and mentor a team of C++, TypeScript, Android and iOS, in a fast-paced, quick-to-market environment
• Set the strategy, build a roadmap, create measurable goals, and lead your team to deliver
• Set the direction for Snap’s largest Open Source project and grow a community
• Evaluate the technical tradeoffs of major decisions and be a strong technical mentor
• Hire, grow and retain high-performing team membersKnowledge, Skills & Abilities :
• Background with building high availability and mission critical systems
• Experience with leading an engineering team
• Ability leading and executing large, complex technical initiativesMinimum Qualifications :
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field such as computer science or equivalent years of practical work experience
• 8+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience; or a Master’s degree in a technical field and 7+ years of post-grad software development experience; or a PhD in a related technical field and 3+ years of post-grad software development experience
• 1+ years of experience managing a team of engineers
• Hands-on experience with mobile development (iOS or Android).Preferred Qualifications :
• Experience with cross platform mobile frameworks.
• Proficiency in one or more of : C++, TypeScript, Android, or iOS Development.
• Track record of delivery in rapidly changing, highly collaborative, multi-stakeholder environments

The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position.These pay zones may be modified in the future. : The base salary range for this position is $229,000-$343,000 annually. : The base salary range for this position is $218,000-$326,000 annually. : The base salary range for this position is $195,000-$292,000 annually.This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
