Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Surgical Assistant for an exciting Travel or Local job in Cincinnati OH.

Job Responsibilities :

Positioning patients according to surgeon instructions for optimal exposure.

Providing visualization of the operative site using retractors sponges suction and tissue manipulation.

Assisting with hemostasis and suturing using absorbable or non-absorbable materials.

Applying and securing postoperative wound dressings.

Supporting harvesting of veins arteries tendons bone and skin in applicable cases.

Staying current with relevant surgical techniques and technologies.

Skills

Extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology

Excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to stand for long periods

Strong clinical judgment and adherence to safety protocols

Competency in surgical assistance techniques

Qualifications

Associates Degree in Surgical Assisting OR Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technology program

Foreign Medical Graduate with 3 years of Surgical Assistance experience in the US (evaluated on a case-by-case basis)

2 years of experience as a Surgical Assistant

BLS (American Heart Association) Required

Preferred : NSAA CFA in the AST or RNFA at the National Assistant at Surgery Certification (NASC)
