Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Tax Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with MasterTax software and a strong understanding of payroll tax compliance, filing, and reconciliation. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our multi-state tax filings and maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage and process daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual payroll tax filings using MasterTax software, including federal, state, and local returns for all OnePoint HRO companies and client companies
  • Upload the federal tax payments using EFTPS daily.
  • Reconcile payroll tax liabilities and ensure accurate and timely payments to taxing authorities.
  • Maintain tax calendars and monitor filing deadlines to ensure compliance.
  • Research and resolve tax notices, discrepancies, and inquiries from tax agencies.
  • Research employee setup / error when a new tax code is brought into MasterTax.
  • File for new tax accounts when needed, including providing client account application instructions, assisting with completing forms, etc.
  • Support audits and compliance reviews by preparing documentation and responding to requests.
  • Collaborate with payroll and accounting to ensure accuracy of employee and employer tax data.
  • Work with implementation team to determine what tax information is needed for client setup.
  • Stay current with tax law changes and MasterTax updates affecting payroll tax processes.

Qualifications :

  • Experience : 2–5 years of payroll tax administration experience required.
  • Software : Proficient in MasterTax . Special consideration will be given to candidates with experience using PrismHR.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.

  • We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $90,000. This position is exempt.
