The Leasing Manager will be responsible for resident retention, customer service, lease administration, and communication with prospective and current residents. The role will involve assisting with lease agreements, responding to inquiries, conducting property tours, tracking leasing trends, rate management, and addressing resident concerns. This position reports to the Area Manager.

Responsibilities
- Conduct property tours and present available units to prospective residents.
- Explain lease terms, conditions, and rental rates to prospective residents.
- Process applications and perform screening of potential residents' financials.
- Prepare and execute lease agreements.
- Implement and manage marketing strategies to attract new residents.
- Network with local businesses and community organizations to promote properties.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about local rental rates and industry trends.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from prospective residents via phone, email, or in‑person.
- Assist current residents with lease renewals, maintenance requests, and other inquiries.
- Ensure a high level of satisfaction among residents through regular follow‑ups and addressing concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of applications and resident information using Yardi and CRM Flex software.
- Track and manage lease expirations and renewals.
- Collect initial rent payments and support the management of delinquent accounts.
- Coordinate with property staff teams to ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property (including model rooms) to ensure they are well‑maintained and appealing to prospective residents.
- Monitor and report on property performance, including occupancy rates and revenue.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to leasing.
- Work closely with property managers, maintenance staff, and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of leasing strategies.

Ideal Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher education institution.1‑2 years professional sales experience.Strong customer service and communication skills.Experience in lease administration and managing resident retention.Knowledge of leasing processes and lease agreement terms.Ability to effectively communicate with prospective and current residents.Familiarity with property management systems and software is a plus.Organizational and problem‑solving skills.Ability to work on‑site in the Berkeley, CA area.Compensation
