About The Position Job Title : RN - Pediatric Emergency Room Location (Onsite, Remote, or Hybrid?) : Milwaukee, WI (ONSITE) Contract Duration : 13 weeks Working Hours : 11AM - 11 : 30PM Total Weekly Hours : 36 Job Title : (1) ER RN - 12 Hour Days - Milwaukee Campus AUTO OFFER UNIT Contract Length : 13 weeks Start Date : ASAP Guaranteed Hours Per Week : 36 Shift Requirements : 12-hour days 11am-11pm Weekend Rotation : 2 weekends per month Holiday Rotation : Rotate every other Float Requirements : Yes, caregivers would be floated to sit for a patient and not perform actual inpatient nursing duties. On Call / Call Back Requirements : N / A Certifications : WI or compact RN, AHA BLS, AHA PALS Required. (preferred ACLS & TNCC) Education : ADN Minimum Experience : 1-2 years, previous Emergency Department experience required, experience with pediatrics required. Level I Trauma experience preferred. 1 previous completed travel assignment required Charting : Epic highly preferred Required Skillset : Care for pediatric emergency department patients, including assessment, medication administration, teaching, wound care, EKG, obtaining vs, providing mental and behavior health care, etc. Provides nursing care in a setting where there is potential for exposure to blood and other high-risk body fluids, communicable disease and hazardous materials, chemicals and waste. There is potential for personal injury from equipment or instruments, especially if proper procedure is not followed. Work may include exposure to temperature extremes, crowded workspace, noxious odors, or high noise level. Unit Info : Level 1. Efficient, fast paced 50 bed ED. Majority of their cases are low acuity, but also see high acuity as well. PEDS experience required. Currently seeing 200-280 visits / day. ED techs and nurses. Ideally run with 18 nurses on peak time and 6 care partners (CNA's / Techs). 3 nurses per one tech. Split up department in different areas; fast track area, and higher acuity are. Fast track closes by 1 am. Scrub Colors : Any professional scrubs Personal appearance requirements : Jewelry and accessories must not interfere with job performance or pose an infection or safety risk to the employee, patient, or client. Tattoos that contain words or images that are offensive (e.g., extremist, indecent, racist or sexist ,etc.)or suggestive are not permitted and must be covered. Hair (including facial hair) should be clean and styled in a manner that does not interfere with the work being performed. Flu vaccine required. NO EXEMPTIONS.
