Job descriptionPrevious experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of physiology, internal medicine, and pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) practices is highly desirable. Familiarity with coding practices for insurance purposes is an advantage. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments such as clinics or urgent care facilities. Strong communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate patient care. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and a solid understanding of medical procedures, particularly in settings such as clinics, urgent care centers, and trauma centers. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring that patients receive high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Administer medications as directed and perform basic laboratory tests.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including coding for insurance purposes.
- Support the clinical team in managing patient flow within the clinic or urgent care setting.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety protocols.
- Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including Level I and Level II Trauma Centers.
