Do you turn complex prints into flawless parts?
If you enjoy dialing in Swiss lathes, interpreting challenging blueprints, and verifying results with precision tools, this role puts you at the center of medical instrument manufacturing.
Your mission
- Transform engineering intent into in-tolerance parts by setting up and operating CNC Swiss style lathes (20’s, 32’s, 38’s) from Hanwha, NTY3, and Hardinge.
- Keep production on spec and on schedule by following established procedures and guidelines.
- Validate quality with calipers, micrometers, height stands, micro-vu, keyence, optical comparator, and vici tools per AQL and work instructions.
Imagine this
You notice a subtle dimensional shift on an in-process check. You consult the blueprint and check-sheet, adjust offsets, perform a controlled tool change, and re-run the feature. The next measurement hits nominal. You approve the setup, log counts and results in the company database, and keep the job moving.
You’ll tackle
Part setups per blueprints and set-up sheets; approving setups by other operators when appropriate.Reading and interpreting blueprints, inspection check-sheets, and instructions.Dimensional troubleshooting, offsets / adjustments, and dial-in to spec.Burr removal where required.Accurate tracking of completed and scrapped parts; completing paperwork and Visual Labor Entry updates.Monitoring work orders in the Visual Labor Entry system.Compliance with all policies and procedures.All other duties as assigned.Primary Operator Tasks
OP 1 – Chip PullOP 2 Measure Loader load / unload, plus inspectionOP 3 – OP1, OP2 and full mechanicals and offsets / adjustments and set up / dial in.You bring
High School Diploma or equivalent.Knowledge of CNC Swiss style lathe machines and CNC controls.Skill with calipers, micrometers, height gauge, and depth micrometers.Blueprint fluency and the ability to follow work operation sheets.Strong computer aptitude.Self-starter mindset; comfortable in a fast-paced environment.Clear communicator and collaborative operator.Organized, quality-first approach with a drive to be “Best in Class”.Willingness to lead by example and learn NGI processes and procedures.Ability to lift 40 lbs.Technical know-how
