Position Summary : The Heavy Cleaner (Floater) will ensure that the cleaning of assigned buildings is consistently and appropriately performed. Responsibilities include cleaning buildings, moving materials and furniture, reporting building malfunctions, operating motor-cleaning equipment, sweeping, mopping, polishing, washing, cleaning mirrors and glass, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, removing spots and shampooing carpets, cleaning exterior areas, disposing of trash and recycling, cleaning compactor room, checking drains, and performing other duties as assigned. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, you may be required to respond to any emergency on a 24-hour basis and may be required to work overtime.

Minimum Qualifications : High School Diploma or the equivalent is required. Good communication skills required. Must be physically fit to do extensive walking, stair climbing, lifting (maximum of 50lbs.), and carrying, and overhead work. Must be able to work all shifts. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
