Travel Telemetry RN – Poughkeepsie, NY

Assignment : 13 weeks

Start Date : 12 / 15

Shift : Nights, 12-hour shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM)

Schedule : Every other weekend, holidays as needed

On Call : None

Qualifications :

NY RN License required

BLS required

ACLS required

5+ years nursing experience

Experience with :

Chest tube setup & care

CPAP / BiPAP

Tracheostomy care

Drains, feeding tubes

Epidural pumps, PCA pumps

Line management : PICC / Central lines, Port-A-Cath / Vascular access

Wound VAC management

Telemetry interpretation

Blood / blood products administration, cooling / warming blankets

Experience with Cerner EMR

Responsibilities :

Provide high-quality patient care on a telemetry unit

Float to multiple areas including Medical / Surgical floors, Oncology, Nephrology, Post-Surgical Care, ED hold, and Observation Unit (Legacy Annex)

Manage complex patient needs including lines, drains, and specialized devices

Administer medications, blood products, and manage infusion pumps

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective care

Accurately document patient care in Cerner EMR
