Job Description

Summary :

The summary of Performance Expectations pertains to job specifics performed in Sterile Processing.

Decontaminates instruments, flexible endoscopes and equipment. Cleans, assembles packages & sterilizes instrumentation and supplies.

• Assist with receiving and ordering of daily departmental supplies as well as special orders paying close attention to inventory control and budget needs as stated by Sterile Processing Director or Supervisor. Assists in precepting and training of all new staff. Will complete new staff weekly report card and review with Sterile Processing Director or Supervisor. Will perform other duties as directed by Sterile Processing Director or Supervisor.

Required Education :

High School diploma or equivalent. Certification in sterile processing. Knowledge of medical terminology.

Required Work Experience :

A minimum of 3 years prior Sterile Processing experience. Experience as a preceptor with CVMC Sterile Processing.
