About the Clinician's Workday

The cardiac anesthesiologist will work 5x8s and need to work in the call rotation (1 : 3). The cases that can be expected for the cardiac position are a mix of Cardiac, EP, thoracic, and cardiology cases, sometimes all in one day. There will be straightforward hearts that require TEE (do not have to have TEE cert); however, they need to be able to competently perform and interpret intra-op TEEs.
