Associate Director of Technology
The Associate Director, Technology ensures the effective and efficient delivery on CJP’s technology vision. The Associate Director uses advanced agile process management, technical knowledge, and communication skills to bridge between organizational needs and technical solutions while promoting best practices, fostering innovation, and driving continuous improvement. This role has a primary focus on agile solution development and delivery with key components of team mentoring and management, process automation and improvement, system implementation, configuration, and administration, and metrics development and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience delivering value through agile project management techniques (e.g. Kanban, Scrum)
- Proven ability to collaboratively lead cross-functional teams to realize shared goals
- Confidence in facilitating planning and execution of both operational and project work
- Facilitate ceremonies including planning sessions, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives tailored to organizational and team needs
- Prioritize project and operational work
- Proactively identify any project risks or issues and escalation them when appropriate
- Mentor and guide team members on agile practices and principles
Operations
Own day-to-day operations of technology services managing solution engineering, data design, testing, and integration in alignment with organization goals and in compliance with information security policies and proceduresEnsure high-quality data assets are developed, measured, and maintainedManage staff with a focus on goalsProvide hands-on delivery of components of CJP’s technology and service offeringsCoordinate internal resources and work with third party vendorsProvide user support and training on a variety of tools throughout the organizationMetrics
Develop and maintain key performance indicators for technology projects and operationsContribute to the organizational desire to be a data-informed cultureOther duties as assigned with or without accommodationCJP is not able to offer visa sponsorship for this position. Education
Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, project management, business analytics, data, technical, or non-profit field, or equivalent experience and trainingExperience
A minimum of 5 years of related experience working in a technology function with non-profit, fundraising, or similar environment preferredStaff management experience preferredExperience implementing systems, onboarding technology, process mapping, and agile project managementExperience implementing, administering, and supporting enterprise technology software in a SaaS model (e.g. CRM, Financial, HRIS)Skills / Competencies
