American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment at a Magnet Level I Trauma Center, requiring Epic experience and a MO or compact RN license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in the ICU of a short-term acute care hospitalPatient population includes medical, surgical, neuro, cardiac, transplant, and multisystem organ failure casesPatient diagnoses include respiratory failure, ARDS, acute cardiac / arrhythmias, stroke, cardiac arrest, DKA, multi-organ failure, sepsisUnit cares for pre and post-op cardiac, thoracic, abdominal, transplant, medicine overflow, and end-of-life / organ donation patientsPatient ratio is 1 : 2Night shift, four 12-hour shifts per week (19 : 00–07 : 30)Every other weekend requiredFloating within the ICU service line may be requiredNo on-call requirementEpic charting system is usedResponsibilities include management of critically ill patients requiring advanced interventions and monitoringMay be assigned to pre and post-op, transplant, or overflow units within the ICU service lineScrub color is navyPermanent former employees must wait one year before returning as a travelerRTO limited to 7 days per 13-week contract and not allowed during the first week of orientationHoliday and Charge RN assignments as needed per unitPre-start online modules required prior to assignment up to 16 billable hoursMust shave facial hair for fit testing if required to ensure proper fitStandard travelers (outside 75-mile radius) may stay a maximum of 18 months, followed by a 3-month break\n \n Requirements\n
Active MO or compact RN license requiredMinimum 2 years of recent ICU experienceCertifications required : BLS, ACLS, NIHSSExperience with medical and surgical intensive care skills, including dysrhythmia interpretation and management, multisystem organ failure, 12-lead EKG, CVP, Swan Ganz, CRRT, dialysis, ventilator management, and various invasive monitoringExperience with Epic EMR requiredMust reside at least 75 miles from the facilityNo first-time travelersPending license accepted if MO or compact, but must have license at submissionMust be able to pass fit testing\n Benefits\n
