Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Albuquerque, NM 87106 (New Mexico travel nursing jobs) Assignment Length : 13-week travel RN contract Start Date : December 15, 2025 Shift : Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts / week (07 : 00 - 19 : 30) Hours per Week : 36 (option for 48-hour travel nurse contracts) Setting : Medical / Surgical Telemetry Unit in a Level I Trauma, Teaching, and Children's Hospital Guaranteed Hours : Contracted hours per week (facility may call off up to 3 times during assignment) Weekend Requirement : 2 weekends per 4-week schedule (may vary by unit) Floating : Required to float to PCU, lower acuity units, and Emergency Department (ED) within skillset Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1820-$1870 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – New Mexico or compact state (NM license can be pending at submission) Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg Telemetry RN experience Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (No RQI certifications accepted) Proficient in IV starts and telemetry monitoring Skilled in dysrhythmia interpretation and management Willingness to float as needed to PCU, ED, and other units COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical / religious exemptions accepted with documentation) No local candidates within 75 miles of Albuquerque, NM Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy Med / Surg Telemetry unit Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using Phillips cardiac monitors Initiate and maintain IVs, administer medications, and manage patient care plans Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy Float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU), lower acuity units, and Emergency Department as required Document patient care using Cerner electronic health record (EHR) system Uphold patient safety and infection control standards in a high-capacity hospital setting Complete orientation and required training modules Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel Med / Surg Telemetry RN in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and take the next step in your nursing career!
