CVS Health is currently seeking a Senior Mainframe DB2 Database Administrator who will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated solutions for managing and optimizing Db2z and IMS databases within an organization. This role requires a strong knowledge of Db2z database administration, programming, and automation to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of database systems.

Expectations for the role include :

• Implementing structural changes through environments, access method analysis, application consulting
• Optimize Db2z resource utilization by tuning queries, recommending indexes, reorgs, Db2z support and deploy application releases
• Building automation to improve legacy processes
• Processing Database Support Requests and Change requests in production and non-production environments
• Building and implementing database backup and recovery strategies
• Preparing disaster recovery (DR) documentation and participating in DR activities
• Maintains complex zOS Db2 databases with respect to JCL, DDL, Security and Db2 customer support
• Provide technical training and consultation to other members of the IT organization
• Support day to day monitoring and maintenance activities for Db2 z / OS
• Support Db2 Function Level and Version Db2 z / OS Migrations and RSU upgrades
• Respond to Audit requests and provide necessary documentation
• 24 / 7 on-call support rotation

Pay Range : The typical pay range for this role is : $83,430.00 - $222,480.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
