Ever since our first credit card customer in 1994, Capital One has recognized that technology and data can enable even large companies to be innovative and personalized. In 2022, we publicly announced Capital One Software and have since brought two of our B2B software solutions to market; Slingshot and Databolt. We are seeking top tier talent to join our pioneering team and propel us towards our destination. You will be joining a team of innovative product, tech, and design leaders that tirelessly seek to question the status quo. As a Capital One Director, Business Development you'll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of building this business and bring these tools to market.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to acquire new customers and design strategic partnerships for the data security product.
• Identify, contact, and engage potential customers and partners, conduct thorough needs assessments, and tailor initial pitches to align with their specific requirements.
• Lead the proposal process for prospective customers and partners, including negotiation strategies, pricing structures, and competitive benchmarking.
• Serve as the primary relationship manager for new customers and strategic partners, overseeing account activities, resolving issues, and identifying cross-selling opportunities for the data security product.
• Track and report on the progress of customer acquisition and partnership development efforts, including lead management, pipeline growth, sales forecasting, and key performance metrics.
• Conduct in-depth market and industry analyses to pinpoint new customer segments and potential strategic partnership opportunities for the data security product.
• Collaborate with Marketing & Analysis, Infrastructure Development, and Operations Teams to create customized solutions and partnership packages tailored to the specific needs of new customers and partners, ensuring adherence to all obligations.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and / or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
