Class A Driver For Driver Development Program

We have an opening for a Class A Driver for our Driver Development Program in Owensboro, KY. We want the right Driver to join us at Ryder. CDL Class A Graduates Zero Experience required to qualify.

Driver Positions Pay Weekly

Weekly Minimum Guarantee During Training : $1050

Weekly Minimum Guarantee After Training : $1385

Miles Pay : $0.51 per Mile with 2500 Miles per Week

Stops Pay : $11.00 per Stop

Drop and Hook Pay : $6.00 per Drop / Hook

CDL License is Required

Company Paid Scale Bypass Trucks are three years or newer. Ryder Drivers Service the Route, not the Truck. All Drivers have 24 / 7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ Maintenance Facilities.

Requirements

9 months or less of CDL driving experience

Minimum 21 years of age

Pass a Ryder Drug Test

Pass a Ryder background and a Motor Vehicle Registration check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

Pass a DOT physical

Pass a Ryder road test

Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position

Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A

Ability to : Follow written and / or oral instructions

Read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and / or procedures

Important Note : Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and / or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Responsibilities

Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and / or state laws, regulations, and / or agency rules, standards and guidelines

Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs

Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) regarding the checking in and out of freight

Perform other duties as assigned
