Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,597 per week in Concord, CA

Patient population includes those with acute myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, pulmonary embolism, cardiomyopathy, and complex post-cath lab patients. Some patients may require intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella devices, and care following cardiac surgery procedures such as CABG. Typically, the average length of stay for heart patients is 1 to 2 days. The unit handles approximately 5 heart surgeries each week. The staff-to-patient ratio is either 1 : 1 or 1 : 2, depending on patient acuity and census. Floating to other units may be required but will remain within the same scope of skill. Weekend work is generally required every other weekend. Scrub attire is flexible; specific guidelines will be provided on the first day.
