Club Manager

The Club Manager is the leader of a BJ's club. Responsible for leading the operations and profitability of the club, delivering on company strategic priorities, providing market-leading value on merchandise and services, excellent member experience, managing Team Members and developing talent, and ensuring a safe and positive environment and experience for Team Members and Members.

BJ’s offers a comprehensive onboarding program for newly hired Club Managers to develop the skills needed to be successful quickly and effectively. During our onboarding program (which generally extends from 8-12 weeks), new Club Managers are partnered with best-in-class Club Managers and other BJ’s leaders to learn best practices, connect leadership concepts to real life BJ’s scenarios, and build their internal connections.

Assistant Club Manager

Responsible for overseeing specific areas of the club depending on role- Operations, Merchandising, Member Services, or Perishables. Serves as a leader of the entire club by providing direction, oversight, and validation of company expectations and initiatives. Establishes efficiencies, maintains policies and procedures, delivers a positive service experience to Members, and ensures a positive and safe environment for Members and Team Members. The manager is responsible to function as the Manager on Duty (MOD) as assigned. While MOD, the manager has responsibility to manage the entire Club, including all Club departments, to ensure excellent Member engagement, to address any and all concerns brought to the MOD's attention, and to escalate any concerns, as appropriate. The manager could be assigned as MOD 50% or more of the manager's scheduled shifts.

Fresh Manager

Working closely with the Club Manager, the Fresh Manager is responsible for providing leadership and direction within the club and driving club performance, particularly for the departments that he/she directly manages. Responsible for leading the fresh departments, establishing operational efficiencies, maintaining policies and procedures. Overnight Manager

Front End Manager

Responsible for managing, monitoring, and directing all Front-End business components in the execution and delivery of exceptional service and value. Provide TM oversight and direction to exceed performance expectations and results in each area assigned, including Frontline, Membership, Front Door and Utility Clerks. Executes company programs and initiatives to drive membership metrics/growth, improve VOM scores, ensure maintenance standards are met and validate Membership Experience Ambassadors/front door performance of job duties as required. Acts as a key holder for the club.

Meat Manager

Responsible for managing meat department operations, supervising meat department team members, ensuring fulfillment of member orders, maintaining proper inventory levels and merchandise displays, complying with food safety and quality standards, and achieving meat department sales, profitability and waste goals.
