Landscape and or maintain grounds of GCC and Organization using hand / power tools or equipment. Landscape performs a variety of tasks : sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, and sprinkler repair and installation.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Within six months, must become familiar with principles of Servant Leadership and demonstrate rudimentary understanding to demonstrate development and aptitude.
  • Clean and maintain the grounds : cut lawn using hand mower or power mower, trim and edge around perimeters, trim shrubs, and keep all sidewalks clean of debris.
  • Ensure quality checks are performed on the grounds and irrigation systems. Maintain machinery and equipment by providing preventive care and minor adjustments.
  • Records lawn care services rendered, materials used and charges incurred.
  • Maintain, and provide weekly reports groundskeeper orders requested and completed as well as on maintenance tasks assigned.
  • Ensure all methods and procedures are conducted in a safe and hazard- free approach including handling fertilizers, chemical and tools.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to perform simple math computations.
  • Ability to bend and lift 35 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 7 hours per 8-hour shift).
  • Adhere to work assigned schedule.
  • Previous experience handling and operating commercial lawn equipment preferred.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles.
  • Frequently exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise fumes, dust, etc.
