Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or the international equivalent focusing on Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years prior experience in public and / or independent schools, with a strong background in curriculum and instruction. Promotes an inclusive environment that values, encourages, and supports differences, and articulates an authentic commitment to diversity in thought and perspective while holding others accountable for the same. Possess strong leadership in the areas of pedagogy and classroom management. Experience with inquiry-based learning, project-based learning, and design thinking is preferred. Experience with agile project management, scrum methodologies, and EduScrum is preferred. Experience with STEM co-curricular programs, including FIRST, esports, cybersecurity, SeaPerch, and other competitive-type programs. Demonstrate effective leadership while building relationships with students, parents, and staff to effectively supervise and motivate students. Possess a high level of independence in order to manage multiple tasks, meet schedules and timelines, and maintain records. Exceptionally capable in both written and oral communication. Excellent organizational and presentation skills. Proven success working collaboratively with other members of a department and school personnel. Must be able to pass a Jessica Lunsford Level II background check and drug test. Certifications Required : CPR / AED / First Aid are able to be gained upon hiring.
