The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview :

The Mental Health Technician is a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team. The Mental Health Tech works under the direct supervision of the registered nurse to provide care to patients with diverse psychiatric illness. All methods of practice and / or work performance shall conform to written established hospital policies and procedures and be carried to the highest achievable level of competence in a manner demonstrating concern and consideration.

Qualification

Required :

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year of Nurse Aide / Assistant experience or satisfactory completion of an Aide training program.
• Preferred at least one (1) year experience as a phlebotomist or EKG Technician with health care background.
• Current enrollment in health care training program preferred.
• One (1) year experience working with geriatric patients preferred; must possess excellent communication,
• interpersonal and time management skills; and competent in facilitating therapeutic groups under supervision of RN.
• Maintains required BLS Heart Saver / Health Care Provider course completion and status
