Manufacturing Assembler – Medical Device (Day Shift)

Location : San Jose, CA

Available Shifts :

  • Day Shift : Monday–Thursday, 6 : 00 AM – 2 : 30 PM | Friday, 5 : 00 AM – 1 : 30 PM
  • Pay Rate : $25–$27 per hour

  • Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview

A leading medical device manufacturer is seeking experienced Manufacturing Assemblers to support production of high-precision devices used in life-changing healthcare applications. This is a hands-on, cleanroom-based role requiring a sharp eye for detail, excellent dexterity, and a commitment to quality and teamwork.

This opportunity begins as a temporary position with strong potential to convert to full-time employment , based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble small, intricate components into finished medical devices using hand tools, tweezers, and microscopes
  • Work within a controlled cleanroom environment (69–73°F) while adhering to safety and cleanliness standards
  • Follow assembly instructions, drawings, and GMP-compliant documentation
  • Perform tasks requiring fine motor skills , including adhesive application and visual inspection under a microscope
  • Participate in laser welding operations (training provided; prior experience a plus)
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assembly processes
  • Communicate quality or process issues clearly and promptly to the Production Lead
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to support continuous improvement efforts
  • Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; equivalent experience may be accepted
  • 3–5 years of experience in medical device assembly or similar regulated manufacturing environments strongly preferred
  • Prior experience using microscopes and handling small parts is required
  • Familiarity with GMP , good documentation practices , and cleanroom protocols
  • Laser welding experience is highly desirable
  • Strong manual dexterity, precision, and attention to detail
  • Dependable with a strong attendance record
  • Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude
