Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - $2,182 per week in Princeton, WV

Job Title : Respiratory Therapist Profession : Respiratory Therapist Specialty : Respiratory Therapy Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12H Nights Hours per Shift : 12 hours Experience : Minimum 2 years required License : Licensed Respiratory Therapist Certifications : ACLS, BLS, Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC, NRP, PALS, STABLE Certification Must-Have : ER and ICU experience required. Inpatient adult experience required. Pediatric experience preferred, willing to train on pediatrics. Description : Responsible for providing respiratory therapy treatments to patients. Manage ventilators and perform breathing treatments. Draw arterial blood gases and run samples. Perform EKGs for inpatient and outpatient services. Assist in intubation procedures when necessary. Provide care for patients in various departments, covering inpatient areas and the emergency department. May be required to initiate CPAP for infants. Work collaboratively with physician staff and lead therapists. Participate in a points system to assign treatment areas evenly. Cover EKG services in the areas assigned for respiratory treatments. No critical care transporting outside of the facility is required. Shifts are set with a requirement for every other weekend. Staff consists of multiple respiratory therapists during each shift. The department utilizes a range of equipment for respiratory therapy treatments. There is a lead therapist or supervisor available for support and guidance. All staff are expected to maintain a professional appearance. Orientation includes a general introduction and shadowing a preceptor for skill assessment. A second interview may be conducted to assess skills upon site arrival. Cancellation policy allows for 2 shifts per contract period.
