Medical Assistant Position
This position requires the CMA to work 1 Saturday morning per month, and Tuesday evenings. The location is 13415 Connecticut Avenue Suite 100 Silver Spring, MD 20906.

The responsibilities include performing patient care and lab duties delegated by the RN or MD, as well as data collection, data entry, analysis, and generation of reports at one of six Montgomery County Health Centers. This includes rooms patients, taking vitals, providing EKG testing support, assistance with medication management, performing phlebotomy functions, and being a part of the treatment and education of diabetes, nutrition, high blood pressure, cardiovascular wellness, and weight control and other low acuity illnesses.
Required qualifications include a medical assistant diploma from a medical assistant education program and / or high school diploma, medical assistant certification from one of the following organizations : AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA, NHA, NAHP, or NPCE, current C.P.R. certification issued through American Heart Association, medical or patient care experience in a health center or hospital setting, ability to communicate clearly and effectively, and computer literacy in Microsoft products and email. Experience with EHR software and EPIC is a plus.
Preferred skills include excellent phlebotomy and EKG skills.
Pay range is $18.78 - $26.29 based on experience, skills, and education.
