Internship :

16-20 hours per week
$18 per hour
Position ends after 1040 hours worked

Qualifications :

Knowledge of Windows 8 / 10 / 11

Knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar desktop office suites

Good communication skills and likes to work with people

Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Valid Driver's license for travel to agency sites (in Genesee County, most in city of Flint)

Able to lift and carry computer components (up to 50 lbs.)

Must be available to work a minimum of 16 hours per week

Have good typing skills

Must be a hard worker, self-starter

Working on a degree in one of the following majors : Computer Information Systems, Cyber Security, Computer Networking, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering

Preferred :

Some knowledge of computer hardware, including component installation and configuration

Help desk or troubleshooting experience, either in a computer "lab" or office setting

Experience in troubleshooting computer software and hardware

At least a sophomore majoring in Computer Science / Computer Information Systems

Environment :

700+ computers, Windows 8 / 10 / 11

Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Microsoft Windows 2012 / 2016 / 2019 / 2022 Server, Exchange 2016 Server, SQL Server 2016, IIS

WAN over MPLS and cable, includes central campus and 8 outlying sites

Essential Physical Demands :

Vision - Position requires the ability to visually assess details at both near and far distances, as well as to perceive depth and spatial relationships with or without reasonable accommodations.

Hearing - Position requires the ability to receive and respond to verbal communication with or without reasonable accommodations.

Lifting, Standing, and Walking With or Without Reasonable Accommodations :

Position requires the ability to lift up to 35lbs on an occasional basis

Position requires the ability to regularly stand for extended periods of time

Position requires the ability to walk at a minimum of 35% up to a maximum of 65%

Position will require the ability to occasionally stoop, bend, or reach to perform work tasks with or without reasonable accommodation

Position must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, including the use of hands and fingers for handling, grasping, typing, writing, or operating equipment with or without reasonable accommodation.
