AgreeYa is a global Systems Integrator and is seeking an experienced Level 2 IBM MQ Administrator to join our growing team. Join our high-performance operations team as a Level 2 IBM MQ Administrator , where you will be the go-to expert for ensuring the resilience, performance, and security of our enterprise messaging infrastructure. In this critical role, you will troubleshoot complex issues, lead system upgrades, conduct proactive health checks, and work closely with infrastructure, security, middleware, and operations teams to keep mission-critical systems running smoothly.

Job Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain IBM MQ servers, queues, channels, and other MQ components.
• Perform regular system health checks, monitoring, and performance tuning to ensure the optimal operation of the MQ infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve MQ-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and service disruptions.
• Manage and configure MQ clustering, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) setups.
• Maintain and implement security configurations for MQ, including user access control, SSL, and encryption settings.
• Apply patches and updates to the IBM MQ environment to ensure security and stability.
• Perform regular backups, recovery, and data integrity checks for MQ environments.
• Administer and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu) that support the MQ infrastructure.
• Configure and optimize Linux system resources to ensure maximum performance of MQ services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues, including system crashes, high CPU utilization, and disk I / O problems.
• Automate system administration tasks using shell scripting or other automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
• Collaborate with other system administrators to implement and maintain system security policies, access control, and patch management.
