Psychiatry - Forensic Physician at Amergis Locum Tenens summary :

A licensed Behavioral Health Psychologist is sought for a locum position to conduct forensic assessments, including mental evaluations and risk assessments. The role involves developing detailed treatment plans and counseling clients using various methods to aid in behavior modification. Candidates must possess strong report writing skills and have experience in psychiatric forensic assessments in the state of Missouri.

Summary

Job Type : Locums
Schedule : Monday to Friday, 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 30 PM
Duration : 6 months
Start : Up to 30 days from acceptance due to credentialing process

Job Responsibilities

Conduct thorough forensic assessments, including pretrial mental evaluations, competency restoration examinations, sexually violent predator evaluations, risk assessments for patients charged with a sex offense, and conditional release assessments

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans specifying the type, frequency, intensity, and duration of therapy

Treat and counsel clients using a variety of treatment methods to assist in behavior modification

Write detailed reports on clients and evaluate the effectiveness of counseling or other treatments, modifying plans and diagnoses as necessary

Qualifications

Licensed professional in the field of behavioral health

Experience in conducting forensic assessments and clinical duties

Strong understanding of various treatment methods and behavior modification techniques

Excellent report writing and evaluation skills

Ability to manage a patient volume of 10-15 patients per day

Requirements

Must be licensed in the states of Missouri

DEA full authorization (active)

BLS Certification

Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, though the specific system is unknown

Psychiatric forensic experience or CFE for the Department of Health
