Position Title : Bus Aide

Location : District - System-wide

Pay Type : Salary - Non-Exempt

Contract Work Year : 9 Months / 182 Days

Reports To : Transportation Supervisor

Qualifications :

• Holds a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Fingerprinting / background clearance, random drug testing
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

Description :

Under the direction and supervision of the Supervisor of Transportation, monitors students' behavior and assists the school bus driver to maintain appropriate student behavior on school buses transporting students to and from school.

Terms of Employment :

The terms of employment shall be in accordance with provision of the Board's policy manual, Fair Dismissal Act of Alabama, and the Board's Salary Schedule.

Evaluation :

Performance evaluation shall be in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of support personnel.
