The Galante Architecture Studio (TGAS) is a multi-discipline design firm with a diverse & complex client base. We pride ourselves in our ability to deliver exceptional project results through the connected thinking of our talented team of Architects, Designers, Graphic Artists, and long-standing consultants. Design innovation & sustainability are at the heart of all our work to provide progressive buildings, objects, and spatial solutions whenever & wherever possible. The team is equipped with the latest design software to meet our client's challenging needs, stays up to date, and remains open to new digital solutions at all turns. We work comfortably in casual office environment with an emphasis on collaboration and a team approach to design. The studio's Harvard Square location provides ease of access from many places, and more coffee shops than one can visit in a week!

  • Are you the new addition to our business office we’re searching for?
  • An Assistant Bookkeeper is experienced with finance management software and has working knowledge of basic accounting principles with the aptitude to quickly learn knew software with provided training. They work under the supervision of the Finance Manager (FM) as an assistant maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. They may also be responsible for tasks like data entry and supporting accounts payable and receivable.

  • Your Essential Contributions :
  • Maintaining Financial Records : This includes updating general ledgers, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring accurate data entry
  • Processing Invoices and Receipts : Preparing and processing invoices, reconciling bank and credit card statements, and managing receipts
  • Data Entry and Financial Reporting : Performing data entry tasks, assisting with the preparation of financial reports, and reconciling accounts
  • Supporting Accounts Payable and Receivable : Managing and reconciling accounts payable and receivable, as well as tracking expenses
  • Organizing and Maintaining Financial Records : Keeping financial files organized and up to date
  • Provide Weekly Reports : Providing Analysis of cash flow status
  • Ensuring Compliance : Adhering to relevant accounting standards and regulations

  • Qualifications
  • US work authorization (Required)
  • Flexibility to travel in the Greater Boston area
  • Clear criminal background check
  • Minimum 3 years bookkeeping experience
  • Education :
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • An associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field (Preferred)
  • Experience :
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal (soft) skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced atmosphere
  • Fluent in MS Office and other standard office software

    COVID-19 considerations :

    All work computers are equipped with remote technology. We seamlessly worked remotely for a year during the COVID-19 pandemic and are equipped to do so again should the climate call for it. Because of this technology, staff can work from home as needed.
