CVOR RN Job Details

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2530 - $2600

Location : York, PA 17403 (Pennsylvania nursing jobs)

Healthcare Setting : Cardiac Open Heart Surgery Unit

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 8 / 2025 – End : 3 / 9 / 2026)

Shift : Day shifts, 4x10-hour (06 : 00 – 16 : 30), alternating days off

Hours per Week : 40

On-call : 1-2 call days per week with 30-minute response required

Weekend Coverage : Every 3rd or 4th weekend (Friday 4 : 30pm – Monday 6am)

Holiday Coverage : As needed (at least one major holiday)

CVOR Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience in a cardiac surgery setting

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania (no license hits accepted)

BLS certification (AHA or ARC only)

EPIC charting experience required

Hands-on open heart surgery and scrub experience required

COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical / religious exemptions available)

Ability to provide care for COVID patients as needed

Tobacco and fragrance-free healthcare facility

CVOR RN Responsibilities

Assist in cardiac open heart surgeries as both a circulating and scrub nurse

Prepare and maintain sterile fields and surgical instruments in the CVOR

Monitor patient status and respond to emergencies during cardiac procedures

Accurately document patient care using EPIC electronic health records

Participate in on-call rotation and respond within 30 minutes as required

Float to other nursing units as needed to support clinical operations

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the multidisciplinary surgical team

Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to patients and their families
