Second Shift Sanitation Supervisor

Kelly Science is seeking a Second Shift Sanitation Supervisor for a growing company located in Newburyport, MA. Salary : $65,000-75,000 / year. Schedule : Monday-Thursday : 5 : 00pm-3 : 00am. Employment Type : Full Time; Direct Hire. Job duties include :

• Lead and support staff in cleaning and sanitizing production equipment and facilities, following scheduled routines and safety protocols.
• Ensure all sanitation procedures and training meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor employee performance, attendance, and adherence to policies, offering coaching and feedback where needed.
• Provide hands-on help with chemical handling, safety practices, and the proper organization of sanitation supplies.
• Oversee pest control activities by managing schedules, monitoring effectiveness, and coordinating with service providers to keep the facility safe.
• Regularly review sanitation practices, spot issues, and help implement corrective actions if standards aren't met.
• Work closely with other departments and shifts to quickly address and resolve sanitation concerns.
• Assist with audits, such as GFSI or FSC22000, and support any required corrective actions.
• Train team members in sanitation standards, safety procedures, and best practices.
• Keep accurate records of inspections, violations, and key sanitation performance metrics.

Qualification : Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, food safety or a related scientific field. 3+ years of experience in a quality assurance or sanitation role within a food manufacturing environment. 1+ years of demonstrated leadership experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred. Strong knowledge of Microbiology, Sanitation, Chemical Safety, and Pest Control. Ability to work a flexible work schedule if needed.
