Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – LTAC

HumanEdge Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) RN for a night shift travel assignment in St. Louis, Missouri. This is a great opportunity for a skilled nurse ready to make a difference in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Assignment Details :

Location : St. Louis, MO

Shift : Nights (3x12s)

Duration : 13 weeks

Start Date : ASAP

Key Responsibilities :

Deliver high-quality nursing care in accordance with the nursing care plan and physician direction.

Supervise LPNs, CNAs, and new staff / orientees.

Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission to guide individualized plans of care.

Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and communicate patient updates in a timely manner.

Lead patient and family education with a focus on rehabilitation and discharge planning.

Initiate and coordinate discharge plans from the first day of admission.

Ensure continuity of care by effectively communicating patient status changes to providers and fellow caregivers.

Delegate responsibilities appropriately while providing guidance and mentorship to support staff.

Contribute to a safe environment by following safety protocols including those for infection prevention, fall risk, safe patient handling, and proper materials use.

Accurately document interventions, assessments, and patient responses according to hospital policy.

Actively participate in quality improvement and team-based care initiatives.

Requirements :

Active RN license (Missouri or compact)

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Minimum of 1 year of recent acute or LTAC nursing experience preferred

Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and communication abilities
